Our main goal in this lecture is to analyze the mixing time of the (heat bath) Ball Walk on a convex body K, as defined in the previous lecture. In this walk, from any point x ∈ K, we move to a new point chosen uniformly at random in B(x, δ) ∩K, where B(x, δ) denotes the ball of radius δ centered at x, and δ = Θ( 1 √ n .
